From the Editor — March/April 2019
Hello fellow Countrysiders!
I’d like to introduce myself as the new editor of Countryside, although I’m hardly new to the Countryside universe. I was hired by JD and Diane Belanger in January, 1996 and have done a little bit of everything — from schlepping truckloads of magazines, books, renewals, and invoices to the post office (often with two of JD’s goats along for the ride) to helping guide the magazine’s editorial direction. It’s been a great journey so far and I’m looking forward to continuing my journey with all of you!
When I’m not working on the magazine, you’ll find me in my gardens, ice fishing, camping, hunting, or cooking, grilling, and trying new concoctions in my smoker. I’m a true Wisconsinite.
But back to you. Countryside is and always will be a community magazine. I want to make sure your voices are reflected in these pages now and in the future. If you have an idea or story to share, a question to ask, or maybe an answer to a question, I want to hear from you. Do you have a favorite family, barnyard, or pet photo? I would love to see them! Let’s keep this YOUR magazine and support the Countryside community together! You may send your thoughts to: Countryside Editor, P.O. Box 566, Medford, WI 54451 Or email: editor@countrysidemag.com
I can’t wait to hear from you!
